Terms and Conditions

                                           Liberty Farms Registered Pig Sales Guarantee

1. All Liberty Farms of Louisiana (LFL) pigs are guaranteed to be purebred. LFL is a member of the American Kune Kune Pig Society (AKKPS). All LFL piglets will be ear-tagged or microchipped, DNA tested and registered with the AKKPS upon sale.

2. All piglets leaving the farm will be free and clear of any illness or disease. Piglets will receive age appropriate vaccinations and worming prior to leaving. A record of these treatments will be provided at the completion of the sale. 

3. LFL guarantees Kune Kune stock until one year of age from proven congenital defects. LFL must be notified within three days of death. A necropsy from a licensed veterinarian must be provided and LDL will receive a copy of all findings. A replacement animal will be offered of similar quality, this is at the discretion of LFL based on available stock. No refund will be issued. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer.

4. If you would like to reserve a piglet from LFL, a deposit of $150 per piglet is required upon commitment to purchase. We offer piglet choices based on first deposit, first choice. If purchasing an un-weaned piglet, LFL will retain the piglet until weaned (at approximately 8 weeks of age). If a piglet dies or becomes ill after a deposit has been made, we will offer another available piglet or a refund. 

5. Once you make a commitment to purchase, the piglet is no longer available to other buyers, and therefore, your deposit is non-refundable. Piglets not picked up within 30 days of sale or weaning date (without having made prior arrangements) will reverse back to being the property of LFL and any monies paid are retained to cover boarding fees and loss of marketability.

6. As the buyer, you agree to educate yourself in the proper care, nutrition, housing, social needs etc. of the Kune Kune pigs. You agree to provide for the routine preventative care of your new pig. We make a point to be available to answer any questions! 

7. It is the goal of LFL to ensure that our pigs go to caring homes. We are concerned for the well-being and humane treatment of all animals who leave our farm. No matter what the ultimate purpose of a particular pig is (breeding, pet, meat, etc.), it deserves to be treated well and live in satisfactory conditions. Therefore, we reserve the right to withdraw from the sale of any animal at any time and for any reason. In the even that LFL chooses to exercise this rights, any funds paid to LFL in relation to this specific transaction will be refunded in full.

8. LFL is happy to assist with transportation arrangements for the animals. We can meet within reason for free, and can deliver under certain circumstances for an additional fee depending on location. We have ground transporters that can also provide transportation if needed for an additional cost. If the piglet is being shipped/transported, the buyer is responsible for any costs associated with the transportation including but not limited to carrier, airfare, vet check, and health certificate. Please discuss transportation arrangements with us prior to placing a deposit. 

By placing a deposit, you are agreeing to the terms of this agreement.
